Msn Nicknames Tricks
1) AzN_Kronik discovered a trick to
have a blank nickname. Just go to Personal Settings and delete your current
nick. Then hold ALT and press 0160 (with your numeric keypad on a Standard US
keyboard). Press ok et voilą! How can I have multiline nicknames again? Just experiment with it yourself or use the generators below,
it's a pretty cool feature!
2) The "hard enter" has been around for ages (at least from the moment Stieno
told me about it). It allows you to make a multi-line nickname. However,
Microsoft has disabled the possibility to type it manually. Here's workaround to
have multiline nicknames:-
Halfway November 2003, Microsoft blocked certain characters from being used in
your MSN Messenger name, including one that allowed you to create multiline
nicknames easily. If you want your nickname to consist of multiple lines, you'll
have to download the latest version of the Messenger Plus! add-on.
1) Open a conversation window
2) Type /nick followed by a space and then your desired nickname, using [SHIFT]+[ENTER]
to insert line breaks.
3) Press enter and your nickname will change.
3) Here's Mess.be's tool to make your own underlined or boxed nickname.
NOTE by ramx1: "if you add a whole lot
of spaces before the second step, most users wont notice the ugly way it
looks in the contact listing... it'll only show up on the chat window". Neat
huh?!
4) A slasher tip: use /, \ and | to make your own M, W and V like this
/\/\, \/\/, \/. And while we're at it, why not throw in ), (, [ and ]? You'll
get letters like (\), (\/), (/\), ]\/[, [/\], etc. Cool huh?! Don't thank me,
thank fubushakur, mark (m_2k3@hotmail.com), vera,
Piet and others.

"Fool your average online chatter friends by adding "(Blocked)" next to your
name."
MSN Messenger Names Guide
This is a quick guide to MSN names. MSN Messenger allows you to have any text as your Display Name, this is the name that people on your contact list see you as.
Setting your Display name or screen name is quite simple. From either the main MSN window or any chat window's menu click on Tools -> Options. This will bring up the MSN Options Dialog. The first option visible is your MSN name, so write your screen name in the text box like this:
